About Us

Hollywuff was born from a simple thought:
No dog should ever be forgotten.

In Costa Rica, many dogs live on the streets – sick, injured, or abandoned. Many of them struggle every single day just to survive. Hollywuff was created for these dogs.

Since 2021, Sandra and Mike Schäfer have dedicated themselves to rescuing dogs in need. What began with individual rescues gradually grew into a place where dogs can find safety, care, and a second chance at life.

At Hollywuff, dogs are allowed to arrive.
They are given time to heal, to regain trust, and to rediscover the joy of life.

Our approach is holistic. We believe that healing begins when we understand the body and work with nature instead of against it. That is why we focus on fresh natural food, natural support for health, and a calm environment where dogs can feel safe.

Many of the animals that come to us have gone through very difficult experiences. But with patience, care, and love, they slowly begin to trust again.
